Our Story
At Gradient I.T. Corp, we’re working to close the technology gap that exists between the privileged and underprivileged. Our nonprofit organization aims to increase access to technology among individuals and families in need across California’s Central Valley.
The organization was founded by Kentrell Davis, an Oakland native and IT professional with a bachelor’s degree in cyber security. In middle school, he had the opportunity to get involved with a nonprofit technology and computer center that provided him with access to computers and the Internet for homework, technical workshops, and various software training. Thanks to the hands-on learning opportunities he received, he was soon able to navigate new technologies and exercise new skills on his own. Eventually, he began assisting in class-based sessions to help teach local senior citizens become acclimated with technology. For Kentrell, having access to a community computer center kept him and others like him way from the dangers of the streets and out of trouble. The computer center created a sense of security, which is why he founded Gradient I.T. to one day pay it forward.
We leverage IT services for all types of businesses and individuals, which proceeds provide free or reduced-price services to qualifying nonprofit organizations as well as lower-income individuals and families. These services include workshops, giveaways, and youth programs.
